Yann Garcia

Yann Garcia is a professor of analytical, general and inorganic chemistry at Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium).

He obtained his doctorate with the highest distinction from the University of Bordeaux under the supervision of Prof. Olivier Kahn, 1999. He was post-doctoral fellow with Prof. Dr. Philipp Gütlich in Mainz, before being appointed assistant professor at the UCL in 2001, associate professor in 2004 and professor in 2009.

His research interest includes studies of molecular magnetism and advanced functional materials.

He has co-authored 190 papers with several cover pages of top chemistry journals, and is chief editor of Current Inorganic Chemistry (Bentham science), editorial board member of European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry (Wiley-VCH) and associate editor of the Mössbauer Effect Reference Data Journal (MERDJ).

Since 2007, Yann Garcia is the active president of Mössbauer French Speaking Society (www.gfsm.fr) and IBAME member since 2009.
