Vadim Ksenofontov is a senior scientist and a group leader at the Institute of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany.
He graduated in Physics at the Lomonosov Moscow State University and received the Ph.D. degree from the Donetsk Physical-Technical Institute. During a period from 1993 to 1994, he was entered the group of Prof. G. Ritter in the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nurnberg and since 1994 he has joined a research group of Prof. P. Gütlich at the present Institute.
His scientific interest includes molecular magnetism and spin-crossover, novel superconductors, research of nanoparticles and spintronic materials, conventional and synchrotron Mössbauer spectroscopy, development of Mössbauer and high-pressure technique.
